UCLA Gender Studies - PT JOB, REQUIREMENTS

UCLA Gender Studies: PT, Applied Today:
Part-time Lecturers (Non-Senate)
The Department of Gender Studies at UCLA receives on an ongoing basis applications for part-time lecturer (non-senate) positions for teaching a course in Gender Studies.  Appointments are made in general on a quarterly basis.  Quarter academic appointment dates are as follows:
Fall: October 1-December 31st
Winter: January 1-March 31st
Spring: April 1-June 30th
Requirements:
PhD required. Applicants with extensive academic and/or profession experience are encouraged to apply.  Application procedure:

  • A paragraph description and syllabus for at least one proposed course
 We are also currently seeking specific applications for the following courses for 2015-16 (please submit sample syllabus):
FALL 2015 Gender 122 Masculinities: Lecture. Enforced requisite: course 10. Masculinity as theorized by feminists and shaped by race, class, age, and nation. Topics include feminist theories of masculinity, male body, childhood and adolescent socialization, sport, male violence, homophobia, black masculinity, globalization and masculinity, and men's movements in 1970s and beyond.
