s soon as tonight, the U.S. House will vote on a crucial amendment that will prevent the Department of Justice and Drug Enforcement Administration from interfering with state marijuana laws.
Email your representative and urge them to end the federal war on marijuana by voting YES on the McClintock-Polis amendment.
And then call your representative to make sure your message is heard loud and clear.
With your help last year, we passed an amendment to prevent the federal government from interfering with medical marijuana laws. But that amendment is about to expire and didn’t cover non-medical laws. Now it’s time to go even further to protect all marijuana legalization laws from federal interference.
Even though a majority of states have passed reforms that provide for some form of legal access to marijuana, people in all 50 states are still at risk of federal prosecution.
The McClintock-Polis amendment will prohibit the Department of Justice and DEA from using money to interfere with state marijuana programs. This will protect medical marijuana patients as well as adults who use marijuana responsibly in states where it is legal.
Send a message to your representative right now. And follow-up with a short phone call to make an even bigger impact.
Sincerely,
Bill Piper
